CoVerage

Lineage and protein dynamics, by pathogen

CoVerage follows which lineages of a pathogen are growing, which of them deserve attention, and how the amino acids of its surface proteins change over time. It began with SARS-CoV-2; the same analyses now run for other pathogens, each on its own site.

Choose a pathogen

How it works

  1. SequencesPublic genomes per country and month, from GISAID, NCBI Virus and NCBI Pathogen Detection, with reported case numbers.
  2. Lineage dynamicsPer country, which lineages grow faster than the others, tested month by month (year by year for S. pneumoniae).
  3. Lineages to watchLineages whose growth stands out, with the date they were first flagged and their weight in reported cases.
  4. Protein allele dynamicsHow often each amino acid of a surface protein occurs over time, on an ancestral reconstruction, with significant rises in colour.

Each site lists its own data sources and methods. The date on a card is the newest data that site was built from.
